euShipments.com intern wins bronze at IYPT

For more than 14 years, euShipments.com has supported young people in their education, development, and first steps into the professional world. Their achievements are the clearest and most compelling proof that investing in education and practical skills is ultimately an investment in the future.

With this in mind, our team is proud to share that 17-year-old Lyuboslav Dimov, who is part of our summer internship programme for secondary school students, won a team bronze medal at the International Young Physicists’ Tournament (IYPT) in Switzerland.

The 39th International Young Physicists’ Tournament (IYPT) took place from 5 to 12 July 2026 in Zurich, Switzerland, hosted by the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, ETH Zurich. Teams from 35 countries participated in the competition, presenting and defending their solutions to 17 open-ended research problems in physics. After five competition rounds, the Bulgarian team, of which Lyuboslav was a member, earned a team bronze medal.

The International Young Physicists’ Tournament differs significantly from traditional school Olympiads. Instead of solving standard problems, participants work on open-ended scientific questions, conduct experiments, and develop their own theoretical solutions. They must then present and defend their findings in so-called “Physics Fights”. The participants are evaluated not only on their scientific knowledge but also on their ability to support their arguments, identify weaknesses in proposed solutions, and work effectively as a team.

For the second consecutive year, Lyuboslav, or Lyubo, as we call him, is spending his summer as an IT intern at euShipments.com in Ruse, Bulgaria, following in the footsteps of his parents, Veselina and Krasimir, who have been long-standing members of our IT team. Today, their son is taking his own first steps in the same professional environment – not simply following a path laid out for him, but as a talented young person with achievements of his own and a well-deserved place among a team of dedicated experts.

Lyubo is currently in the fourth month of his internship, having completed two months during each of his school summer holidays. He develops new features for the company’s software and improves existing ones, creates tools that make our developers’ work easier, and even configures equipment on-site at our fulfilment centrer in Ruse. In the relatively short time since returning for this year’s internship, he has already completed all of the team’s low- and medium-priority tasks, allowing our senior experts to focus on their most important projects. With a touch of well-deserved parental pride, his parents joke that Lyubo is now fully prepared to take over their responsibilities at work.

Lyubo is not the only child of our team members to complete a summer internship at euShipments.com. Every summer, employees’ children who are of an appropriate age and have their parents’ approval undertake internships at our headquarters in Ruse, Bulgaria. They have the opportunity not only to see first-hand what their parents actually do at work, but also to gain valuable knowledge and experience through practical tasks from a real business environment, carefully selected to match their interests and skills.

For us, this initiative is a natural part of the working environment that euShipments.com has sought to build over the years. It strengthens the connection between generations and gives young people the opportunity to acquire new knowledge and experience while gradually discovering their own career interests. We believe that early exposure to a real working environment can help young people make more informed choices about their education and future development. For our team members, it is also an opportunity to share not only their professional experience with their children, but also the values on which we are building our company.

Lyuboslav’s achievement is the result not only of his talent, but also of the hard work and perseverance he has invested in developing his abilities and continuously improving his knowledge of physics. It is an honour for euShipments.com to be part of the next stage of his development by providing an environment in which he can experience the real work of a modern IT team.

Supporting education and young talent has the greatest value when it translates into tangible opportunities to acquire new knowledge, experiment, and receive practical guidance from established professionals.

Congratulations to Lyubo and the entire Bulgarian team on their well-deserved bronze medals. We wish them continued curiosity, courage, and determination to turn complex questions into new opportunities.
