Walter Oblin, CEO of Austrian Post (Österreichische Post AG), visited euShipments Group facilities in Oradea, Romania, and Ruse, Bulgaria, to review the development of our partnership and discuss the next steps in our European growth.
Starting at euShipments Romania’s fulfillment center in Oradea on 5 October 2026 and continuing at our headquarters in Ruse on 6 October 2026, the visit brought together our teams and Austrian Post colleagues. The agenda focused on expanding fulfillment capacity, integrating FHB Group into our network, and preparing for the eCommerce peak season.
The visit began at euShipments Romania’s fulfillment center in Oradea, where Walter Oblin and the Austrian Post delegation met Stefan Popa, CEO of euShipments Romania, and the local team.
Processing over 1 million parcels each month, the Romanian team presented its operations and development plans, highlighting the role of Oradea in supporting Romanian online merchants as they expand into both the local and international markets.
A major investment priority is the planned doubling of the already impressive operational area of 20 000 sq.m. in Oradea. The expansion will create additional space for our growing fulfillment operations and the increasing volumes of existing and new clients.
Alongside the infrastructure plans, discussions addressed our continued organic growth, driven by clients increasing their shipment volumes and more online merchants joining our network. Preparations for the upcoming eCommerce peak season were also part of the agenda.
Following the Romanian stop, the delegation continued to Ruse for Walter Oblin’s first official visit to Bulgaria. euShipments.com co-founders, Svetlozar Dimitrov and Lora Dimitrova, welcomed him to the city where the company was founded and where our headquarters remain.
During the visit, Walter Oblin highlighted Bulgaria’s importance within Austrian Post Group’s regional development. He identified the combination of technological expertise, entrepreneurial ambition, strategic location and competitive operating costs as a strong foundation for further growth. He also reaffirmed the continuing role of Ruse as our headquarters and a location for operational expansion.
Our Austrian Post colleagues joined the co-founders for a tour of the upcoming warehouse in Ruse. Set to become operational in 2027, the new warehouse will be our biggest in Ruse to date, increasing our operational area in the city by over 100% and adding capacity to support our clients’ growth.
We will share further details about the new facility on our blog soon – follow our updates to learn more.
Another discussed priority was the integration of FHB Group into euShipments Group’s operational network and technology infrastructure. Acquired in August 2026, FHB Group adds two fulfillment locations near Bratislava, with a combined ground-floor area of approximately 50000 sq.m. The acquisition brings our network to 12 own fulfillment centers, alongside our delivery coverage across 27 European countries.
FHB Group also contributes expertise in automated packaging, sorting and conveyor systems. Integrating these capabilities with our existing operations will broaden the fulfillment resources and technological know-how available across the group.
The visit also provided an opportunity to discuss how the partnership works in practice. euShipments.com contributes with its proprietary technology, eCommerce expertise, regional market knowledge and entrepreneurial approach. Austrian Post brings international infrastructure, logistics experience and financial stability. As Walter Oblin explained in interviews accompanying the visit, the shared objective is to connect software integration, fulfillment, international transport and last-mile delivery into one coordinated offering. For online merchants, this means accessing multiple European markets through one logistics partner, one integration and one contract.
“The first phase of our partnership has more than met our expectations. euShipments.com has retained its entrepreneurial spirit while gaining the ability to expand its network and capacity more quickly. We are already seeing tangible progress through geographic expansion, increased fulfillment capacity and the further development of our integrated service portfolio. Equally important is how well our teams work together. We are building mutual trust, identifying synergies and learning from one another. This is the foundation for sustainable growth. A partnership of this kind cannot be measured solely by the number of facilities or shipments. It must also establish a shared direction, and that is clearly in place.” – Walter Oblin commented in response to questions from Bulgarian media.
As our network grows, our approach remains guided by the needs of the online merchants we support.
In the interviews surrounding the visit, Lora Dimitrova reaffirmed that euShipments.com retains its carrier-agnostic model, while the partnership creates opportunities for warehouse automation and development in markets beyond the EU, including Serbia and Turkey. Svetlozar Dimitrov also emphasized the importance of client feedback in developing our fulfillment network, delivery services, returns management, cash-on-delivery solutions and integrations with eCommerce platforms.
The visits to Oradea and Ruse brought these priorities into focus: expanding physical capacity, connecting technology and operations more closely, and maintaining the client-focused approach behind our growth.
Across both locations, the discussions shared a common focus: how our continued development can support the next stage of growth for online merchants. Additional fulfillment space creates room for more products and orders. Closer coordination across our network helps clients access logistics capabilities in multiple markets. Integrating new platforms and technologies expands the resources available to support their cross-borderl operations.
Walter Oblin’s visit to Oradea and Ruse was an opportunity to review this work together, meet the teams behind it and align on the priorities ahead.
