Our team has a new key member - Head of carrier network to elevate our carrier partnerships and logistics efficiency

Currently, eushipments.com logistics network integrates over 60 last-mile carriers across Europe. While we keep strong and healthy partners relations with all of them, there is a need for a dedicated individual to bring these partnerships to the next level of collaboration.

For that reason our team has a new addition – Head of carrier network, who will manage and expand the carrier network, oversee the operational performance and optimize the delivery efficiency and costs. 

 

Meet the Head of carrier network 

Our new Head of carrier network is Michal Jedlicka, a seasoned leader in logistics and transportation with vast experience managing complex supply chain operations for global brands, including LEGO, L’Oréal, Samsung, and Notino. As Head of carrier network at euShipments.com, and being strategically based in the Czech republic – the heart of Europe, Michal will leverage his expertise in tactical partnerships and international logistics. In this role and with such a rich background, he will play a key part in expanding and optimizing the company’s EU-wide logistics network.

Overview of the eCommerce field (being an experienced professional)

 

I come from the distribution and logistics field, a vital yet often unseen part of the eCommerce experience. When everything runs smoothly, customers typically notice only the user-friendly website and seamless shopping process. However, the moment something goes wrong – be it with stock, packing, picking, or delivery -logistics becomes visible, especially if a parcel isn’t handed over on time by a smiling driver.

 

For me, it’s essential to keep refining processes, seeking better options through optimization, and exploring new services we can offer our clients. Using real data to monitor key KPIs such as OTD, track-and-trace statuses, return rates, and customer satisfaction with carrier partners is critical. It’s a lot, but it’s what ensures continuous improvement and keeps operations running smoothly. Good work cannot be done without good business partners, so it is very important how to cooperate across internal and external stakeholders.

 

What brings me the most fulfillment in my work is being part of a strong friendly collaborative team, maintaining a professional approach, and having the ability to acknowledge when something doesn’t go as planned, while knowing how to address it constructively. Success is achieved as a team.

 

eCommerce has been growing rapidly in recent years, despite the challenging post-pandemic period, driven by technological advancements, changing consumer behavior, and increasing digitalization. Key trends include personalization, omnichannel strategies, sustainability, and international expansion. To succeed, businesses must not only offer a smooth shopping experience but also ensure fast and reliable logistics, which is often the deciding factor for customers.

 

Your forecast of the eCommerce logistics in the near future

 

In the near future, eCommerce logistics will prioritize automation, sustainability, and speed. Robotics and advanced technologies will enhance efficiency, transparency and automated delivery systems. Faster deliveries through decentralized warehouses and partnerships with local delivery firms. Flexible delivery options will improve convenience, while eco-friendly practices will address sustainability goals. The focus will be on optimizing operations to meet rising customer expectations.
