By acquiring Helpship, we realize a new key partnership abroad. The Romanian fulfillment operator has become the second company to join the euShipments.com group.
As you know, for more than a decade we have been actively developing our network for fulfillment and cross-border deliveries throughout the EU and UK. By acquiring Helpship, we strengthen our presence in the Romanian market, which is key for us due to its location and the exponential growth of online sales in recent years.
This is our second strategic acquisition after the start of the partnership with the private equity fund BlackPeak Capital. The deal is part of a broader M&A strategy to internationalize the business by establishing leading positions in key markets in the CEE region and thereby providing first-class logistics, fulfillment and cross-border delivery to the region’s leading e-commerce players and outside of it. At the end of last year, we acquired a majority stake in the Croatian leader in online shopping, Pick&Pack.
Helpship was founded in 2019 by Stefan Popa and Iosif Chesca. Based on their own successful online store, they realize the need for quality fulfillment services. Helpship’s fulfillment warehouse in Oradea, Romania is strategically located near the Romanian-Hungarian border and is well connected to major highways. In 2023 the company is among the most successful and preferred fulfillment service providers by Romanian online merchants, processing over 80,000 online orders every month.
Since its creation in 2012 so far, we at euShipments have seen strong organic growth in our client base, volume of international shipments processed and our revenue. As a result, we secured a leading position among the Bulgarian representatives in the respected ranking of the Financial Times, FT1000: The fastest growing companies in Europe for 2023. The synergy with Helpship is a fact and the acquisition brings many benefits to the customers of both companies – the online merchants from the region who want to quickly and easily develop into new international markets. As part of our group, the Romanian fulfillment operator can offer its customers the entire service portfolio of more than 50 of the leading courier companies in Europe, with over 600 delivery methods, and thus stimulate the growth of their business abroad. Thanks to the new partnership, Helpship adds a new service to its portfolio – international e-commerce deliveries from e-store addresses – regardless of their location in Romania.
