The first half of 2024 has been exceptionally successful for euShipments.com and our international logistics group. We have achieved numerous significant milestones and marked some key moments in the company’s development. We were recognized by various media outlets as a successful and rapidly growing business, and we achieved significant improvements in our operational capacities.
Here is a chronological overview of our main achievements in the first half of 2024:
• euShipments.com was included in the Top 10 of the largest logistics companies in Bulgaria. The ranking was published in the annual report “Transport, Logistics, and Courier Services” by Capital magazine’s editorial team. In the first half of 2024, another annual report by the media outlet “Gepard” was published, monitoring the most dynamic businesses in Bulgaria. Based on a methodology tracking specific financial indicators, Capital’s analysts ranked us among the leading companies on a national level in Bulgaria and in the Top 20 for the Ruse region.
• Once again, we were recognized as one of the 1000 fastest-growing companies in Europe. For the second consecutive year, the international edition of the Financial Times included us in its prestigious FT1000 list, compiled annually in partnership with Statista. The ranking tracks revenue growth among tens of thousands of European companies across all industries and serves not only to distinguish the most dynamic businesses but also as an identifier of market trends and investment opportunities.
• Just days after the publication of the FT1000 2024 list, euShipments.com closed a new acquisition deal. It is part of our M&A strategy for inorganic growth in partnership with the equity investment fund BlackPeak Capital. Slovak fulfillment operator Swiss Point Data became part of our international logistics group. The new strategic partnership with the Bratislava-based company solidifies our positions in Central Europe and significantly optimizes our network. The improvements cover not only fulfillment and cross-border deliveries but also the return management (returns and exchanges) of eCommerce shipments. In turn, customers of the Slovak company now have full access to over 600 delivery methods across the EU and will be able to easily expand their businesses to new destinations within our logistics network.
• In the first half of 2024, we also launched the operation of our newest fulfillment center. Located in Ruse, Bulgaria, with an area of 10,600 square meters, 2,750 pallet locations, and 5 loading ramps. The center consists of two buildings, where the full range of our company’s logistical processes is carried out – fulfillment, cross-docking, injection points, reverse logistics, and customer support.
• Helpship, one of the companies within our logistics group, expanded its fulfillment warehouse in Oradea, Romania. The expansion amounts to an additional 7,000 square meters, bringing the total area of this logistics center to over 12,000 square meters. With the optimization of this location, our total operational area within the European Union exceeds 30,000 square meters, available for the logistical needs of our clients.
• We expanded our operational teams in our own locations across the network. Our senior management welcomes the new Director of Corporate Strategy – Tikhon Evdokimov, a proven expert in eCommerce logistics with over 30 years of experience. We established a new Key Accounts Management team, coordinating the processes we perform for key clients of the group. Our finance department has new additions as well – experts with years of experience in the field. With their help, we are developing new, even more flexible solutions for Cash-on-Delivery payments to online merchants to further stimulate their business development.
• In the first half of the year, we also achieved a new record in the number of processed shipments in our network. We ended 2023 with over 5,000,000 processed shipments, and in the first half of 2024 we already have 4 600 000 processed shipments. Аnd the peak period in Q4 of the year is yet to come. This pace of growth is not only evidence of our ability to meet the logistical requirements of our clients but also consolidates our position as an eCommerce logistics leader in the CEE region.
The achievements in the first half of 2024 are a result of our efforts to meet the growing needs of eCommerce businesses. For online merchants, our new achievements mean a more stable logistics network, multiple business benefits from shared experience and know-how among all companies – members of our group, increased operational capacities to support their growth.
