Our eCommerce delivery heroes

eCommerce careers at euShipments - in the new eCommerce Academy series

The eCommerce industry has specific jobs with unique functions that can’t be found in other fields. From this point of view, it’s interesting and useful for everyone entering eCommerce in one way or another to understand more about the work of certain eCommerce professionals. So our friends and partners from eCommerce Academy created a video series to introduce these specific professions, and the euShipments team was happy to take part!

Our eCommerce professions

The eCommerce Academy series aims to give the audience a brief “job description” of certain types of eCommerce professions. We took part with 6 different job positions, which were explained by members of our team. Here are the 6 euShipments eCommerce professions in the series:

  • Warehouse management specialist

“In a large part of the processes in my daily activity, I am responsible for the efficient and accurate processing of orders of our customers – online merchants. From receiving order data in our system to sending an already prepared shipment – in other words, the order fulfillment process. This includes tasks such as picking products, packing, bundling and shipping orders. According to the preferences of different customers, the packaging can be in a personalized courier envelope or box, with an added compliment or bonus to each order, also flyers, brochures and discount coupons.”

  • Customer Support specialist

“My role in the company is to provide Customer Support services to our clients – online merchants selling in Romania. I respond to inquiries from users through various channels such as email, phone or chat. I provide accurate and timely information about products, shipping, returns and other related matters. My work includes fast and professional resolution of consumer cases, and in this process I cooperate with the teams of the online stores – our clients, as well as with the teams of our partner courier companies for Romania.”

  • Monitoring and Support manager

“The main part of my work is to monitor all stages of the after-sales process of our clients – online stores. Every day, using euShipments logistics software, I track thousands of shipments that we send through our courier partners with over 600 delivery methods. When a prepared shipment is handed over to a last-mile partner, my team and I perform 24/7 status and transit time tracking to ensure that each order will successfully reach its recipient.”

  • IT Manager

“My main task is to configure and integrate the euShipments system with various eCommerce platforms, payment instruments, ERP and SaaS platforms. In my daily life, I manage the project tasks of our team of IT specialists and monitor compliance with the development deadlines. I also monitor and analyze the performance of integrations on a daily basis to identify areas for improvement. Last but not least I communicate directly with our clients – online merchants, to make sure the integrations work according to their wishes and expectations.”

  • Project manager

“The job of a Project manager at euShipments is to identify and reach out to potential new customers through various sales channels such as email, telephone and online/in-person meetings. Building and maintaining direct communication with existing clients and consulting on the logistics solutions we offer, as well as tracking the smooth running of all processes within our business relationship with them. Daily collaboration with the Fulfillment Operations and Customer Support departments is necessary to make sure that together we achieve high client satisfaction.”

  • Finance Manager

“As a Finance manager, I manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of the Finance Department. An important part of my work is the management of Cash-On-Delivery amounts for our clients – online stores. On a daily basis, I receive reports on daily paid Direct Payments – amounts in 6 different currencies, which are automatically verified. Payment orders to our customers are then automatically generated again. In this way, our working model saves clients the time and costs of maintaining multiple bank accounts in their home country and abroad, as well as the costs of converting funds.”

Each of these positions plays an important role in the successful operation of euShipments.
