Dropshipping Delivery Services

Dropshipping Delivery Services

In the past few years dropshipping has become a popular business model for eCommerce businesses due to its low startup costs and minimal risk. Unlike the traditional eCommerce business model, the dropshipping model allows eCommerce retailers to sell products without holding inventory. Instead, dropshipping suppliers handle storage, packaging, and dropshipping delivery housing under one roof all the process stages from A to Z.

What Does Dropshipping Delivery Service Include?

Dropshipping logistics is a critical component of running a successful business online. While the dropshipping business model eliminates the need for warehouse space, it requires efficient coordination between dropshipping business owners, suppliers, and fulfillment centers.

At euShipments.com, we provide our customers with dropshipping logistics for eCommerce stores with a developed order processing and fulfillment cycle. We support two main types of dropshipping clients, each with distinct workflows and logistics requirements.

DROPSHIPPING

Dropshipping Client with access to Stock in Our Fulfillment Network

With this model the dropshipping client doesn’t hold physical stock themselves. Instead, their supplier stores the stock in a warehouse that is part of eShipments’ fulfillment network.

Typical for this model are the following steps:

  • The client sells (run marketing ads) their suppliers products for a specified sales period (day, weekend, week).
  • After this sales period ends, the supplier requests us to transfer the inventory from their account to the dropshipping client’s account.
  • Once the transfer is complete, we start our standard fulfillment process – picking, packing, and shipping the orders on behalf of the dropshipping client.
  • Upon cross-border delivery, if there are any cash-on-delivery payments, we handle them accordingly in favor of the dropshipping client. All invoices are issued to the dropshipping client.

This model ensures fast delivery and full integration with our fulfillment centers, providing better control over stock availability and customer satisfaction.

Dropshipping Client with Stock Outside Our Network

This model is designed for dropshipping businesses whose inventory is stored outside the euShipments.com fulfillment network – typically with manufacturers, suppliers, or third-party warehouses. It provides flexible options for integrating with our logistics services, depending on the partner’s operational setup.

Direct Shipments from External Warehouse/Manufacturer

The client sells products stored outside our warehouses – with a manufacturer or another partner. The steps are as follows:

  • After the sales period ends, the partner integrates with our system to generate shipping labels, packs individual parcels, and prepares them for transfer to us.
  • Shipments are either grouped and sent to us or picked up by us from a specified address.
  • These parcels are then entered into our international eCommerce delivery network without requiring warehouse storage or fulfillment services.

This option is ideal for partners who already manage packaging and simply need a reliable delivery service.

Consolidated Delivery to oneOur Fulfillment Center

This sub-model is ideal for dropshipping businesses that want to streamline logistics by handling bulk shipments with different SKU’s and quantities inside instead of individual parcels. It allows manufacturers or partners to group those products into larger units like pallets or FTL’s.

  • After the sales period, the manufacturer/partner does not process individual shipments but consolidates the products into cartons, pallets or FTL’s.
  • The stock is either picked up by us or sent directly to one of our fulfillment warehouses.
  • Upon receipt, the items are entered into the inventory of the dropshipping client’s account.
  • From this point, we handle order processing using our standard fulfillment process, followed by a cross-border delivery (with or without Cash-on-delivery option).

This approach is optimal for scaling operations and efficiently managing bulk shipments, helping clients maintain competitive shipping costs and ensure accurate delivery.

FAQ

How does dropshipping work?

The dropshipping model relies on third-party suppliers to store, pack, and ship products directly to customers, reducing overhead costs but requiring strong coordination with multiple suppliers.

What are the biggest challenges in dropshipping logistics?

Some common challenges include supplier errors, shipping delays, high shipping fees, managing inventory across multiple suppliers, and handling returns. Ensuring reliable suppliers and transparent communication with customers can help mitigate these issues.

How can I reduce shipping costs in a dropshipping business?

To reduce shipping costs, consider partnering with suppliers who ship products from warehouses closer to your target market, negotiating better rates with dropshipping companies, and offering free shipping on high-margin items to balance overall costs.

What should be included in a dropshipping agreement contract?

A dropshipping agreement contract should outline terms related to order fulfillment, shipping times, return policies, profit margins, wholesale pricing, product quality expectations, and liability for lost or damaged shipments. This helps establish a clear relationship between the eCommerce retailer and the supplier.
