euShipments.com expands the scope of online sales for the online merchants by entering new markets outside the EU, as we have already established a strong presence within the EU. We activate Ukraine as a new eCommerce market in its logistics network. In recent years, Ukrainian online customers are generating strong volumes of online orders from both local and foreign e-shops. For this reason, we have developed a solution for last-mile deliveries within the country, which is already being actively used by online merchants from the euShipments Group clients’ portfolio.
Online customers in Ukraine rely on online shopping to access a wide range of international products. According to Statista, in 2024, the total value of eCommerce sales in the country is nearly 2 billion USD (US$). This revenue is expected to reach close to 5 billion USD by 2029, with around 26% of the population shopping online i.e. ~10 million people.
For this reason, and based on the feedback from active clients of euShipments.com, our team has developed a logistics solution for Ukraine. Now, every client of the company who meets the specific requirements for cross-border deliveries to Ukraine can start online sales in this market, and we’ll take care of the entire logistics process.
Currently, deliveries to Ukraine through the euShipments.com logistics network are available to all active clients who are already integrated via API. In case they use the company’s fulfillment services at our fulfillment centers in Bulgaria, Romania, Slovakia and Croatia, online orders from Ukrainian customers are processed and dispatched from these locations. If our clients operate with their own fulfillment warehouses, we can collect their parcels for Ukraine directly from the particular warehouse (i.e. first-mile collection). Last-mile deliveries are made directly to the customer’s address, with the option for Cash-on-delivery (COD) available.
As Ukraine is a market outside the European Union, there are specific requirements that online merchants should meet to be eligible to sell online and deliver shipments to the country. All products must have their HS code provided to our team, and online merchants must have a valid EORI number. Additional documentation is also required for each shipment. The euShipments.com team is available to provide guidance and assistance in preparing these documents.
Since 2020 the active online customers in the country continue to grow, generating a significant volume of online orders from both Ukrainian and foreign e-shops. This makes Ukraine a very potential market in terms of eCommerce growth in the years to come. For every online merchant looking for international expansion, now is the time to develop strong, reliable eCommerce operations in the region with the help of a trusted logistics partner like euShipments.com
