euShipments.com announced its key investments for the past year at group level, including those of its acquired companies. To increase its overall operational productivity, improve its processes, and optimize its operations, the group invested over €1.3 million in key logistics infrastructure and further expansion.
In early 2024, euShipments.com made its third acquisition – of a logistics business in Slovakia (Swiss Point Data), having acquired two other companies a year earlier – in Croatia (Pick&Pack) and Romania (Helpship). The group now has logistics hubs in key locations in Central and South Eastern Europe and the Balkans. The total operational area in the European Union now amounts to more than 30 thousand sq.m.
The focus on automation and technology, such as investments in warehouse equipment and machinery for automated processing of online orders and shipments, stems from euShipments.com’s large-scale infrastructure and technology advancement program. Since mid-2024, the company’s fulfillment and cross-docking center in Ruse, Bulgaria, built as part of this initiative, has been fully operational. It offers 2750 pallet spaces, five loading docks, and dedicated areas for receiving and returns, covering over 10 thousand sq.m. to serve both current and future clients.
In 2024, euShipments.com integrated LogiSoft’s high-tech sorting lines into its two fulfillment and cross-docking centers in Bulgaria – in the cities of Sofia and Ruse, further increasing overall operational efficiency. These investments address the increasingly complex requirements of international eCommerce, ensuring faster and higher-quality logistics services. The new machines will optimize critical sorting operations for cross-border eCommerce parcels delivered by euShipments.com to over 27 European countries. The technology will enable significantly faster processing of shipments, particularly during peak periods, while eliminating the risk of errors. Specifically, LogiSoft’s systems will process up to 2400 euShipments.com parcels per hour, each weighing up to 25 kg, bringing the total processing capacity across company hubs to 12 500 parcels per hour. The same type of sorting machines are scheduled for installation at the company’s centers in Oradea, Zagreb, and Bratislava.
“Investments in automation – whether software-driven or, in this case, specialized machinery – are essential for our industry. euShipments.com’s mission is to provide the best possible solutions for our eCommerce clients. That’s why we initiated and implemented this significant optimization, allowing us to be faster and more efficient than ever,” commented Svetlozar Dimitrov, CEO of euShipments.com.
The company also allocated additional funds for the construction of mezzanine and pallet systems, office and operational equipment, and automated stretch-wrapping machines for bulk shipments and pallets in its Bulgarian and Romanian centers. Over the past year, the logistics group processed more than 9 million eCommerce shipments and achieved consolidated revenues of nearly €34 million.
“Given the current geopolitical dynamics and the increasing pressure from major non-EU eCommerce players on European markets, our main goal is to support the sustainable growth of our clients while expanding our presence further west,” added Dimitrov.
As a result of these strategic investments and optimizations, euShipments.com continues to strengthen its position as a leading logistics partner for international eCommerce in Central and Eastern Europe. With both completed and upcoming investments in infrastructure, enhanced automation, and improved operational efficiency, the euShipments.com logistics group is better positioned than ever to support the stable growth of online merchants in European markets.
